Google Calendar
- 1Open Google Calendar on desktop
- 2Click the + next to "Other calendars"
- 3Choose Import
- 4Select the .ics file you downloaded
- 5Click Import to finish
Apple Calendar
- 1Open the Calendar app on Mac or iPhone
- 2On Mac: go to File > Import
- 3On iPhone: tap the .ics file in Files or Mail
- 4Choose which calendar to add it to
- 5Tap Add All to confirm

- 1Open Outlook (desktop or web)
- 2Go to File > Open & Export > Import/Export

Will the calendar update automatically?
The .ics download is a snapshot of the current dates. If you want automatic updates, bookmark your local authority page on SchoolHolidays.org.uk and check back when new dates are published.
Which years are included in the .ics file?
The file includes all term dates we hold for your local authority: 2025/26, 2026/27 and 2027/28 where available. Dates marked as estimated are included with a note in the event description.
Can I add just one holiday, such as summer or Easter?
Yes. Visit your local authority page, find the holiday you want, and use the individual Google Calendar link next to each date. This adds a single event rather than the full year.
My local authority is not listed. What can I do?
We cover all 150+ local authorities across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Try searching by county name, borough or council name. If you still cannot find it, use the contact form to let us know.
